Down here in the south, Branson seems to be a really popular spot to go for a weekend trip. I'm betting the weekend of May 13th, it's going to be even more popular. The Village People, Maxine Nightingale and Janice-Marie will be performing at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. After the show they'll be hanging around to sign autographs and take pictures.
The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is offering a Village People Concert Package starting at $219.00 for two people. You get two tickets for the 70's Supershow and a room for one night at the Hilton Promenade. I know there's been times we've been on a weekend trip and the hard ground inside a tent sounds really good, but these rooms sound nice! Pillow topped mattress, 250 thread count triple sheets, down comforter, plus you also get internet access and a mini fridge in the room. Something else that also appealed to me is that they are pet friendly. How often do you find a hotel that will "knowingly" let you bring your dog?
The concert is Friday, so Saturday there would be plenty of time for shopping or even going to Silver Dollar City. Of course, I think I would need to stay another night because I'd wear myself out trying to see everything, including the Titanic Museum. I may not make it up there for the Village People, but I do want to see Branson at some point this summer.
Okay everybody, to the tune of Y.M.C.A.
It's fun to stay at the Hil-ton Ho-tel, it's fun to stay at the Hil-ton Ho-tel-el!
Just for fun, what's your favorite Village People song?

I have just been in Branson. The town is a little weird, being 'Vegas of the Ozarks'and all, but the area is well worth visiting. I recommend to stop by the 50's diner Uptown Cafe for some awesome brunch.
ReplyDeleteCool. If we make it up that way, we'll definitely check it out!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like an exciting place. Better go with someone never been there.
ReplyDeleteLook so interesting to joined by. Hope I could also participate in that kind of event rather adventure.
